I bought this mat with the intention of creating a non-stick area to work my dough on - Tried it and it was excellent!

Dough was easy to handle without the need to flour the surface, and cleanup was easy! Not to forget that it was large enough to create a good amount of work surface.

Will definitely recommend it if you're looking for one for the same purpose. :)

I bought this mat specifically for butter-based pastry and pie crusts. I was looking for a non-stick product that would reduce the amount of flour I need to to keep the dough from sticking to the surface, as well as an easy mode of transfer. Butter-based pastry dough sticks worse to this mat than it does to a wooden surface. The wetter the dough, the more it will stick to the mat. Flour reduces the "stick factor," but this defeats the purpose for me (adding extra flour to a dough makes it more tough and chewy). The mat is huge! Provides a great larege work area, but not practical for flipping a crust into a dish. It really is non-slip on ceramic and wood surfaces. I can apply a lot pressure while kneading and rolling out, and the mat won't budge.

This pastry mat is exactly what I was looking for. A Very large mat so that dough does not need to be rolled out on a dirty table or counter top. I know that tables and counter tops are cleaned before rolling out dough, but this is a great way to insure sanitary conditions. The product claims are accurate. The dough does not stick to the mat (obviously depends on type of dough) and the mat stays clung to the counter/table surface. It is large enough to roll out even your largest doughs, and is great for braiding breads and pastries. If I had one negative, it would be that, the mat is so large, it is difficult to get in my sink to clean, but its manageable if you angle it just the right way, or you have a large sink. Every pastry chef, whether professional or just a mom/dad, should have this in their kitchen.

I've used my trimmer several times since purchasing it from Amazon last month. Thus far, it's done a fantastic job. People have made note of the lack of power, but this doesn't seem too much weaker than the electric trimmer I was using before. Since I trim every week, nothing grows enough to worry about heavy duty work. I did my edging this past weekend (first time in a long while), and had to make a couple of passes to get through some of the build up. Since I haven't edged in a couple months, I'm not too worried about that myself.
Battery life is pretty good thus far. I have about half an acre, and I can get through my fence line on both sides, and around the house on the first battery. The first battery started dying on me around the time I was finishing the driveway edging, and the second battery easily powered through edging the street. As a bonus, since I already have the B&D 18-volt blower, the batteries are interchangable. I like having to deal w/ less chargers, and better compatability. Changing to/from trimmer and edger is quick and easy. It might have a little bit of heft to it, but being a bigger guy, I can sling this around all afternoon with no issues.
All in all, I'm very happy w/ this trimmer. The lack of power hasn't been an issue for me at all, and the convience of it has won me over. I paid the retail (~$100) for mine, because I wanted to get it and get to using it. However, if you're not in a rush, keep an eye out for deals. I've seen it on sale in the past at local stores for around $90, and some times includes an extra batteries. Also, since it's a rechargable battery, remember to completely drain it at least once a month. Definitely helps them keep a better charge for longer.


Black & Decker NST2118 Review by RRH "Ryan" (Charleston area, SC, USA)

To completely edge/trim my yard I have to do about 500 linear feet of light trimming, give or take 50 feet. The two batteries supplied with this edger give me juuuuuuust enough power to do the job. If I have to do any extra, forget it! However, I knew about the trimmer's limitations when I bought it, so I can't knock it--just pointing it out. It's not as powerful as my former gas trimmer either so it's not really fit for heavy-duty weed clearing, but the tradeoffs are magnificent: no oil/gas mixing, no leaking (my old "high-end" gas trimmer leaked CONSTANTLY), no nasty smoke emissions, and it's so much lighter. Just plug in the battery and go. You do have to make sure to charge the batteries well in advance, but that usually isn't a problem.

To edge, it's incredibly simple just to turn the head around and go. The "flip-down edge guide" is problematic, though, as it doesn't like to stay in place and there's no way to lock it there. It just gets lower and lower as you put weight on it, and I have to stop every 20-30 feet to adjust it. That's honestly my biggest gripe about this edger.

I wish it were about 8 inches longer; as a 6' person it's just a tad too short for me and I end up hunched over too much and getting a sore back.

Overall this a GREAT trimmer for a small yard (if you've got a larger yard, get extra batteries). I definitely recommend it.

Very light weight and more productive than the last cordless electric edger of another brand I had. I really like the two batteries they provided. I feel like I am flying through my yard and driveway edging with this one. I would really recommend this one to anyone that doesn't like fooling with gas powered ones like me.

This fan is relatively quiet, considering its low cost. Most of the noise comes from the rushing air itself. Any inline fan can cause vibration in the duct work, and this fan is no different. You must be prepared to dampen any vibration it causes, and it may cause that vibration in other parts of your duct work, so you could be tweaking things for a few days.

If a bedroom is near the installation, you would be wise to consider one of the very quiet fans made by companies like Can Fan or Vortex. These typically cost between $100-$200, depending on capacity.

I was most unhappy with this duct fan. It bearly moved air and actually caused the system air to become slower out of the vents. This is a poor design and should only be considered as a way to move air outside of a ductwork system. Stay clear of this if you are looking for real air movement and understand the distinction with regards to CFM in a "real air" scenario. I assure you that disastifaction is guaranteed if you think this fan will supplement your AC or heating system. I am shocked that reviews on this item have anything positive to say.

i received the unit promptly. 1 day ahead of the earliest est. delivery. i was unaware i couldn't just plug the thing in. i guess you have to go to home depot or someplace. thats where i went and bought a 'tool replacement cord' for $12.97. it is supposed to have 3 open wires on one end and the plug on the other. with that done it started right up and has met my needs so far.

Bought this for my husband as a gift. Our complex has very strict rules on grills. No gas or charcoal grills withing 50 ft of any building. The choice seemed to be either no grilling OR use the nasty communal pits in the parking lot. Then I read all the reviews on this grill and decided to try option 3.
Its Awesome! my husband is so pleased! great sear on the meat and a lovely simple clean up as well. Perfect! It has a nice small footprint and takes up very little space on our patio. Five Stars all the way for putting my Texan back on the patio with a beer and meat where he belongs :-)

Ordered this for hubby for Christmas, he thought it looked great. Our outdoor grill died this past summer and I thought this would be great to use either in the kitchen or on the porch. Well, lo and behold, there was NO cord!! So I wish I could review the actual item, as we were really hoping to use it tonite. But it's back in the box and ready to go back. Amazon themselves were very good and have already sent me free shipping labels to send it back and have already shipped me out a new grill as of today. Grilling really can't get much easier than this. After assembling the grill (which takes only a few minutes), simply plug it in and allow about 10 minutes to fully preheat the surface while you gather your steaks, kebabs, or whatever's to be grilled. The electric heat has an adjustable range from low (for keeping food warm) to high (for searing steaks). The nonstick grill surface not only means you can use a minimum of added fat, but it also makes cleanup a cinch. The surface has a subtle slope, with channels that draw accumulated fat or other liquids into a tray just below the surface. The high domed and vented lid helps create a circular flow of hot air to ensure even cooking--particularly important for a large roast or whole chicken.

The grill can be placed either directly on a tabletop or atop its pedestal. On its own, the grill surface stands about 6 inches high; with the pedestal, it stands about 2-1/2 feet high, not counting the domed lid. The pedestal is plenty sturdy for cooking, but the grill still seems a bit top-heavy, so pay special attention if grilling in a high-traffic area or near kids. Because of the easy electric heat, this grill can be used outdoors or indoors--when using it indoors, though, be prepared for potential spattering, steam, or other side effects of cooking. --Cynthia Nims

I really like this perfume and have gotten a compliment or two on it but the staying power is weak. I have the shower gel and lotion and when I layer w/ these the scent seems to last a bit longer but I re-apply a couple of times throughout the day.

I bought this due to favorable reviews describing this as a light, shower-fresh scent. I love Pure Grace by Philosophy but wanted something a bit different. After spraying it on, I disagree with all reviews stating it lacks staying-power. The scent lingered for hours -- I had to take a shower 6 hours after application just to get rid of the strong smell. The smell is less "shower fresh" and more like an amalgamation of fragrances you might have (I definetely have) experienced in a girl's junior high school restroom in the mid 1980's: aerosol hairspray, drugstore perfumes (especially Love's Lemon Soft), fruity bubble gum, and more and more hairspray. It also smells vaguely like Pantene did in the early 2000's - sort of fruity-floral. In any event, it would be a fragrance appropriate for younger women, or women looking to be transported back in time, to the fragrance of their teens. It's not an offensive smell, but it definitely lacks any sophistication or sexiness.
